Regular treatment can help to keep bacteria away and of course, dandruff as well.

Dandruff remedy #2 – Vinegar

Vinegar benefits to the scalp are well known. Rich in potassium and enzymes, it can help to prevent dandruff and itchy scalp. Add a dash of vinegar with some water. Apply it to your scalp and keep it wrapped up with a towel before you go to bed. Wash them when you wake up the next morning. Results should please you in a couple of weeks treatment.

I would try Head&Shoulders shampoos and coditioners for dandruff problems.  They work wonders for me.
