Rooney Mara cut her hair short and shaved her eyebrows to play Lisbeth Salander in "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo."

Both she and sis Kate look awesome with long hair. That said, I think either can do short as well. The look for the movie is a bit out there but she has a beautiful face.
