I've gotta be honest. When I saw the photo, I thought, OK, Karen is going to show us the "after" shot with Alesha having short hair. After breathing a deep sigh of relief, I love it!

Hi Kramer,

So sorry.  I have blocked him 3 different times.  He keeps coming back but I will try something more drastic.

If it's any consolation he/she spams my Blog as well.  The good news?  I can review before the comments are published.

We have started billing non-approved spammers via PayPal so hopefully this will help curb the tide...especially when they get our bills.  :-)

Hope you are doing well.

Hi Kramer,

I really needed to hear that today.  I spent 3 full hours removing spam, inappropriate links, photos and etc., from HT and was cursing the entire time.

WHY do people do that?  I know that they want to have free advertising, but we let them post under announcement.

Thanks to makeitshort...he alerted me to a major spammer on the Short Hair boards.  Unfortunately someone spent hours posting over 68 different links to their new blogs.  UGH.

BTW we are in the process of redoing HairTalk to make it more secure.  You may have noticed we completely upgraded the HB Blog and the HB front page.  We will soon have a new database for all the articles.  By end of 2011 we will have redone the entire site and HT is on the list somewhere in the middle.

No functional changes just better anti-spam and security.  We also worked something out with PayPal where we can automatically bill people that post ads w/out permission.  Maybe that will help?

Also we will put up some test HT pages before we convert so all the regulars can weigh in with their opinions.

Thanks again for your kind words.  I appreciate all of your longtimers here at HT.

I appreciate your hard work as well, even though I'm a lurker/perpetual "newbie".

Thank you so much for coming out of lurker mode to show a vote of confidence.   I appreciate it so much.
