I've been using high lift blonde with 30 vol developer to get my root to very light blonde. I had tried ombre hair with a level 6/7 brown and hated it. I'm still seeing a LOT of brass. I'm wondering if I need to continue to lighten ( with BLEACH) maybe, or if I'm ready to tone.
Any recommendations for toning? The bottom of my hair was already blonde when I started, and I don't want to go gray.
One last thing. I have shea butter in my hair. Can I bleach with it in to protect my hair a little?
Any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks

Try a toner with a blue or purple base. There's one I love that's by manic panic called virgin snow. It's really easy to use. No mixing required. U can get it at sallys.

A toner, and then use a purple shampoo a couple times a week. Ag makes a really good one!

I think a solution could be to use an ash based highlight dye, neutral ones aren't so good for taking away the brassy tones. To lift 4 levels you need to use 2 parts 40 volume developer to 1 part highlift dye.
