Hi everyone :) I`m just wondering what the best way is to wear my hair when I sleep at night. I have very fine, waist length hair. I used to wear my hair in a pony tail using terry cloth covered hair bands, but i`m finding alot of hairs being pulled out when I take it out in the morning. Currently I am sleeping without anything in my hair. Have you seen the "turbo twist" or "turbini" (something to that effect), on those infomercials? It`s like a towel tied in a turbin, but it`s specially made for your hair and it`s a lot smaller. Im wondering if this may be an option for sleepwear. Any thoughts?

Hi,
I have seen the turbini thing but I don`t know anything about it. One way that I have found that works for my hair (just a little shorter than yours) it to braid it. The kinks are not too bad to get out in the morning or if you put it in more than one french braid (down the sides) it looks really cool in the morning. Good luck!

terry snags the hair. try satin/silk scrunchies. also, a satin pillowcase may be in order. I flip my hhead upside down and put some gel on my hair then put it in a loose ponytail on top of my head. I wake up with smooth hair (no kinky hair thanks to the satin case) and don`t suffocate on my own hair. Also, instant volume "voila!!"

Hi! I have long hair and instead of using just one of the terry cloth hair bands, I section my hair and scatter LOTS of little hair bands throughout my hair - not necessarily everywhere, just enough places that when I take them out in the morning there will be some waves & volume. If your hair is naturally a little wavy you can just put a few of them in the front and your hair will really look great in the morning & be comfortable to sleep on at night. Worth a shot anyway!

I have some "Turbie Twists" (I think that`s the name) that I got by responding to a TV ad, and which I use sometimes. They are about half the size of a bath towel and pretty absorbent. Similar products are available at stores, too. They work pretty well for putting wet hair up, because they have a loop at one end that you can tuck the twisted end of the towel through to secure it, and by aborbing moisture they are intended to cut down on the need for blowdrying. But I don`t think they`re intended for sleeping in, and I don`t think they would be all that comfortable because they would be too bulky.

When my hair was several inches longer than it`s current length (a little above bra strap) and more of a hassle at night, I used a satin pillowcase, which really cut down on tangles during the night. So I agree you might want to try that.

My hair is really long too but mine is very thick. I think that the best way to wear it is in a braid. It`s comfortable and the kinks really aren`t hard to get out. It actually makes your hair pretty! =o)

I think it depends a lot on what sort of sleeper you are - that is how much you move in the night. I`m a pretty still sleeper, so loose works fairly well for me.

I just wear my hair with nothing in it to bed. I make sure it`s dry before I go to bed though.
