I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism November of last year and from a few months before that up until now, I have been having hair loss and my hair just generally turning on me. From much coloring, I made sure to always use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and kept the conditioner on for about two minutes while in the shower. Now, however, I try to use the same shampoo and there is so much buildup at my roots, my hair feels disgusting, yet it feels dry and fragile at the same time. When I have been using a volumizing Pantene knock-off, it doesn't feel gross, usually, but it doesn't moisturize enough--even though it's a 2-in-1 formula and I add another conditioner. I want to get my hair in good shape, in general, but I also want to make sure it is in the best shape for me to color it again. Can someone please help?! My hair is a wreck!

I would not color my hair in that consition, i would wait a bit!!
