I've heard that it's good to switch your shampoo and conditioner because after awhile, your hair "gets used" to the shampoo that you use....therefore losing it's benefits. Is this true? I change my shampoo all the time. Just wondering how often I should be doing it, if at all.

A myth, I say! I used the same shampoo (Finesse) until they changed ingredients on me. The hair lurved it. As for conditioners, I rotate mine for different needs (I've got one that gives intense slipperiness, for wearing hair down, and one with a little more friction for updos)

you should replace your conditioner at least after 6 weeks cause your hair does start to get used to it and your hair wont get as much moisture

That sounds more like your hair is getting 'coated' and needs a clarifier.
