(My apologies for not quite mastering how to get photos embedded in a post.)
Susie Castillo, Miss USA 2003, was on 'Castle' last week, minus a whole lot of her dark brown spiral-curls.

Here's how she looked in March:

And here's how she looked in the episode of Castle:

Her role was not one that'll be recurring, though.
Gettyimages has a few shots, too.

Great transformation.  I think she looks awesome with short hair. I'll help and post pictures

I agree...looks great with short hair...really defines her beauty.  Can't help notice the similarity to Halle Berry (which in my mind is a good thing)

WOW! Huge improvement! I see the Halle Berry similarity, but also see Morena Baccarin too. Pretty woman!

She reminded me of Lourdes Benedicto, who was in "Cashmere Mafia."   http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0070830/ - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0070830/

Kramer, let us bow our heads together in collective mourning over this one...

I'm sorry, hair that beautiful should not be given the Jamie Leigh Curtis treatment. If I spotted her on the street, I'd wonder how much hotter she'd be with long, luscious waves. Well, I don't have to wonder! Bob

This is a very boring style that a lot of Afro Americans go with when they can't be bothered to take the time out needed to deal with the special needs of their own very beautiful hair.

Bummer for me: I hate this Halle Berry style. I think even Toni Braxton still has it under all those wigs.

I was at a gathering recently, and there were nearly a dozen black women who went all the way, right down to #2 clipper cuts. Not my favorite, to say the least, but I do appreciate the difficulties of kinky hair. Ms. Castillo had wavy hair which did not have that difficulty factor. I'm with you, Fat. This style is a turn-off, although I know a couple women in RL who are exceptions.
