I think this length looks incredible on her -- Her hair is a bit too thick and curly to wear long, but the really, really short style didn't look great on her, either. This seems to be the "Just right" length.

THAT is how you wear a short haircut to an awards show!!!

So is she on the grow or just going to back to short soon?

Perfectly said! Texture, volume, flatters her beautiful face perfectly. Not wildly fancy or unique, just really well done. The moment she saw it, my wife said she loved it and wanted to try something like that.

Now if only the other attendees could follow her lead...

Definite improvement. She had hair that made guys' knees buckle when she wore it long. Not to mention that her other assets may have done that job as well, and continue working their magic to this day.

Considering that there's atleast 2 months between those pics, I wouldn't say it's necessarily getting longer. It looks about the same as the first pic but less styled and more untidy. She may well have had a trim. Basically she's done this before; let it get a bit longer for a while and then chopped it back.

But surely it's not getting as long as it should given the time elapsed since the awards pic? Strange to say, it looks like she does have some fairly crappy and unobtrusive trims.

Maybe she's not sure whether she'll be allowed to grow it out by producers and directors, so is making sure it doesn't get too long? Anyway it's pretty messy.

I can tell you that they're shooting the second season of Homeland now, and she's a major cast member, so whatever she's doing (or not) is probably related to that.

Well lets see where this goes. Longer or shorter or where it is now. Keeps all of us guessing.

IMHO, she never looked better than with her hair at it's shortest. Not everyone can pull it off and she did, magnificientlly! She's a short hair icon. Sure, she's beautiful with long hair but not many can rock short hair as she did.

Well now I'm really confused. In the first series she started growing it out. I guess that was to differentiate her from Anna in V, but her extensions looked crap so half way through she cut her hair short using the excuse that her husband liked short hair. I guess we'll just have to watch to find out

I appreciate Morena's pixie as much as the next guy, but her pixie was so evil alien queen Anna on V that she needs to have another style for Homeland.

It's actually the opposite.  She's growing it out for Homeland.  Question, I guess, is just how much they want her to grow it out.

You mean losing that gorgeous short layered curly 'do from way back when is the work of our Homeland Security Department? I never suspected...

Actually, CIA.  They technically can't operate domestically, but do have jurisdiction over hairstyles.  Odd loophole, that.

At some point, I'm sure she'll let it go naturally curly and some paparazzi will capture it.  Kinda interested myself as to what that will look like since the bob appears to be less layered and more one-length-ish...

Not sure how anyone can think the pixie is better than that.

Most of her later hairstyles -- including the pixie -- were better than that curly mess.

"Mess".  You keep using this word.  I don't think it means what you think it means.

According to the forum's keyword search, this is the only post in which I've used the word "mess" in the last three years. And though English is not my native language, I'm pretty sure that I know what it means. But feel free to enlighten me.

It's actually a paraphrased reference to the movie, The Princess Bride, where Inigo Montoya (Mandy Patinkin) says this to Vizzini (Wallace Shawn) because Vizzini continually shouts "Inconceivable!" when something just surprising and/or unlikely happens.

So, simply put, I was equating your use of the word "mess" with Vizzini's use of "inconceivable", i.e., it isn't applicable as used.

Which only proves that disecting a joke is like disecting a frog.  You may understand how it works, but you still kill it. Smile
