I'm not actually "new" here per se, but its been around 4-5 years since I've posted anything and I forgot my user info!

Anyway, my daughter is now old enough to be interested in her looks (almost 14 years old!) and we have done extensions on her a few times. She's done latex glue, liquid gold and clip ins before.

Well, a few weeks ago she had her hair cut - shorter than she wanted - and while it is cute, we couldn't get the clips to stay in the bottom of her hair so we ended up doing wefts with liquid gold. They are starting to loosen up now and because she get such oily hair and tends toward dandruff in the winter, I suggested clip ins again, but she is worried about the bottom layer or two not holding. Her hair must be around 1 to 1 1/2 inches at the bottom....does anyone have suggestions for getting clips to stay in on shorter hair? Its not an option to leave the bottom out as she hates the "line" you can see underneath when we do that (kids )

Hey Kimberly, no blatant advertising please. If you have something to bring to the forum, thanks. Wink But it's not a place for free publicity.

Please.

lmfao...
As for JessMN Have you tried teasing the bottom layer at all sometimes that helps a little tease with some hair spray. One thing i have done in the past for myself also when the hair gets a tiny bit longer i made pig tails i guess you could say with the small clear hair ties for like little kids. Then applied the clips to the part above the hair tie they seemed to stay in better without pulling. Hope any of this helps.

Hi Jenn,
I say if the teasing /clip in option doesn't work for your daughter, and it may not with only 1' in the back, she could try the Celeste method, with micro rings or LG.
I sort of created a different way to wear the Celeste method, with LG attachment points, where you create a little sort of permanent ponytail, with a tiny bit of LG.
Look at this long review I did a while back:
http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=66009&KW=invisible - http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=66009&KW=invisible

I basically wore this method, with LG 'anchor points' instead of micro rings.
I wonder how I didn't think of it before! Geek

Otherwise, I'd recommend your daughter stick with LG. With only 1' length, she needs something very secure.

Wow, way to insult the members who *actually* contribute to this forum and try to help others.
Some of us are passionate about hair and hair extensions, and are not just here to promote their business, and make a few $$.
If you don't get that, you shouldn't be here.

Were not the ones trying to promote a business that doesn't seem to be doing that well to begin with. For some of us this is a hobby and our main business's are doing very well indeed, so well that we don't need to promote on others forums! As for insulting after you were asked nicely to stop advertising you come off as a cooky arrogant person. Salon owner and your act like this??? *Shakes head*
