which hair products have you recently purchased and how did they work? What hair products are on your shopping list to try next?

I love finding great hair products that do what they are suppose to do. Some of my favs are:

The L’oreal Evercreme Intense Nourishing Shampoo

The Nexxus Humectress Deep Conditioner

Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner

Macadamia Deep Repair Hair Masque

Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray

Chi Silk Infusion

Chi Keratin Mist

Coconut Oil

Moroccan Oil

Poya Romsemary Mint 100% botanical extracts conditioner

I think next I am going to try the Nexxus pro mend split end binding overnight treatment and I was considering trying the Wen hair care line, some of the Redkin and Joico products as well as the Mane n Tail shampoo but I’m not sure about the last one because I heard it is very drying to your hair.

Please let us all know how these products work.  Science can only tell so much on how products work.  Experience is very important, too.

The Wen products are interesting to me because they claim to have all the answers in one bottle.

What I have learned is that, biologically, to clean hair you must have a product that takes oils and anything else that coats hair, unbinds it so that your hair can have a fresh start...completely clean.  And, then a product is needed to replenish hair.  All in one products seem to not clean your hair enough.  A shampoo cleans and a a conditioner replenishes.  All-in-one products claim to do it all but none of the conditioning aspects actually take hold as the cleaning aspects of shampoo make it impossible for the conditioning aspects to "actually" take hold.  Thus, a shampoo is needed to clean.. then, a conditioner is needed to replenish.

Your insights on Wen, and other all-in-one products is important for those who are interested in those type of products.

Also, "Mane n' Tale" has been an area of interest to all women.  It came from women who worked with horses.  These women used this product available in tack shops for horses.  Show horses needed special care so the manes and tails of the horses were in top shape.  Then, the horses were braided for shows.  These women found the product excellent for these animals and tried it themselves for their long hair.  These women swear that this product does wonders for them and knowing one of them, I found her hair was beautiful and sexy to me.  So, that product would be great as well for input.

I think we would all like to know how it works for you!

 Hi Sparrowhawk 1161

Well if you want to know how the products that I listed worked for me I’ll tell youSmile

The Nexxus Humectress Deep Conditioner and the Macadamia Deep repair masque did wonders for me. They nourished my hair, added a lot of moisture, helped reduce dryness and breakage and made my hair incredibly soft. I noticed the ends of my hair looked a lot healthier and smooth. My hair is naturally curly and the Nexxus really seemed to revitalize my curls making them soft and bouncy and so much easier to detangle. These two products also strengthens my hair.

The L’oreal nourishing shampoo also added a lot of moisture and made my hair soft; it cleans my hair but doesn’t strip it with harsh sulphates. It also left my hair smelling really good.

The Chi Silk Infusion I use as a finishing product, it helps with any dryness after heat styling, it also protects my hair from the heat styling and it adds a nice shine.

The Chi Keratin mist although it is a strengthening treatment I found that it doesn’t necessarily make my hair stronger but it does make my hair soft and silky when I use it before heat styling.

The coconut oil really helped with dryness and helped keep my scalp healthy. It adds a nice gloss to the hair when you use a tiny bit and it helps prevent breakage and split ends. It works well as an overnight leave in conditioning treatment; it makes my hair very soft and is great for scalp massages to stimulate blood flow to the follicles.

The Poya conditioner that I mentioned is great because the botanicals really seemed to stimulate my scalp. It also makes your hair incredibly soft. The only thing I didn’t like was the price and the smell was very pungent. It smells like mint and rosemary but it is very strong so if you don’t want to walk around smelling like mint and herbs you have to try to mask the smell. Other than that it makes my hair so silky feeling and healthier looking.

I find that sometimes it is also a combination of good products and overall treatment of your hair that work well. I also tailored my hair care routine to fit my hair needs and schedule. Everyone is different and not everything I use will work for everyone but they work for me.

I haven’t yet tried the Mane n tail because I read a lot about its drying properties but I will give it a go and let you know.Smile

I knew a girl who had very very long hair.  She loved the Mane n' Tail conditioner.  Actually I was smitten and I found her hair very beautiful.  Guy thinky, I guess.  I met her at an equestrian center and she would buy the conditioner at a tack shop.  Many women decided to use it.  I have no idea how the shampoo works and could just imagen that it could be quite drying.
Later, my ex decided to use it after I encouraged her and her hair actually grew a little longer.  (Well, she was caring my lovely daughter, who is the best thing ever to happen to me, and can understand my ex's hair growing longer at that time.)  My experience, since I believed that, If a guy likes long hair on a women, he just better take care of it... it's only fair...

Your input will help many girls and women.  Hands on experience let's them know how the products work and if it will be right for them. The input is great. Thanks.
