Hello everyone,

I am a hair virgin looking for some virgin hair! Any advice would be much appreciated - I hope the answer(s) to this can be helpful to others also...These are my specifications, followed by the research I've done so far:

My hair is...
1. 18inches long
2. Medium - thick (Caucasian hair)
3. Quite coarse with a full, medium sized natural curl (most similar curl is here: http://www.ebonyline.com/bohfb.html)
4. Dark brown and untreated

I want...
1. 22-24inches long
2. Thick
3. Taped extensions
4. Curly extensions
5. Good quality hair! Virgin if possible.

So far I have decided:

1. To use either Bobbi Boss Natural Yaky Indiremi OR Bohyme Gold collection
2. To get either: French refined weave (although can't find it in 22"), Body Wave or the BB curl.
3. To use Pro-tape without Liquid Gold (first time test)
4. To use 2x 4oz packs

I would LOVE to know your opinions on what the best choice for my hair would be in terms of: Retailer, Brand, Wave, Technique.

Many many thanks in advance for your help and information!

Eve

Hi EveX
You seem like you have done your research already! Great!
I can help you maybe with a couple things. The French refined texture is supposed to be quite tricky to work with, VERY voluminous, and seems to be less low maintenance than other Bohyme texture like Silky Straight or Body Wave.
So maybe I'd direct you more toward Body Wave texture.

You could do a quick search on the hairextensions101 forum. A couple girls had done installs with French Refined, and they posted pics of their installs & talked about the hair.
I think Sherrie might have tried French Refined too.

If you alread have long hair, one pack might be enough, but it's a good idea to have a second one handy to be sure.
8oz can be a lot of hair, especially French Refined. But it depends on what you want.

As far as method, I think it is a great idea to start with tape alone at first. Avoid LG, see if it works.
You can always try LG in the future, when you get used to tapes.

When you go ahead with your install, do share with us later!
Good luck! Embarrassed
