Anyone know?
I've recently found out that shampoo makes my 'freshly grown 4 inch-long' 8p hair extremely dry and curly.
If I don't shampoo and let the oils, etc. bulid up, my hair's smooth and shinier and not so frikin tangled up so I'm stayin away from any products.
Does just the water kill the oils and stuff too or not? Sometimes I get an urge to wet my hair coz it looks cool and it like playin with it 8p but i don't wanna wait days for it to re-up again..
Peace. //Be Safe

What you should do is use a conditioner after you shampoo. Also, you should work a bit of jojoba into your hair, to make it silky and keep it from getting dry. If your hair is dry, you don't want to leave it unprotected until your natural oil works its way down toward the ends.
If your hair is dry, you might be able to get away with water rinses, some men do. I've never heard of a woman who did that.
Natural hair oil is good for your hair. But oil and water don't mix, so water will not wash off the excess oil if you tend to have oily hair. If you let your hair be greasy all the time, your scalp may get icky, and people around you may consider you to be ungroomed.

You can also try washing it - not with shampoo - but only with conditioner. That way your scalp gets some cleaning but your hair stays moisturized.
