I have read that garnier fructis products are bad for your hair.If this is true...how?

Some of them have silicones in them, which makes your hair shiny and smooth, but can build up. You can remove these by regularly rinsing with 1/2 cup vinegar in warm water after your wash.

When I tried it, it made my hair feel plasticky, kinda like synthetic wig hair :-( . No idea why it did that, though.

I've tried their fibre creme pomade and texturing paste and it washes out easily. =]

I find their conditioner makes my hair shinier than anything else I've ever used... someone mentioned silicone though, so that makes sense.
