Is there anyone in America who is NOT aware of breast cancer? Does anyone not HATE this malady? If every woman in America shaved her head, it would not stop one incidence of breast cancer. I wish it could.
But hey, if Kellie feels more in solidarity with her friend by going bald, so be it. And may God bless her friend with a speedy and total recovery.

If Kellie wants to get more donations to breast cancer research, this is a good way to do it. If she just said, "donate to breast cancer research," few would notice. Shave your head and it'll be the talk of the web. That'll get the subject in front of everyone and they'll see that you're serious.
Of course doing it to be supportive is admirable in and of itself. |

Yep. Agree with Bob. More than anything, this brings more attention to the Kellie Pickler Self-Promotion Society. I have a friend who did the same thing -- had her head shaved live on the local morning news show. And now it's growing back. Do you think people think, "Gosh, her hair reminds me of cancer" or "Wow, she used to have such nice hair." ------------- Who has more fun than people? |

| This may be odd, but she strikes me as someone that will look better bald (or close to it) or with her hair long than she will with short hair. Not to say she'll look bad as it grows in, but... just might look better bald or long. |

Agreed. She's beautiful no matter what she seems to do with her hair. I normally prefer long hair but Kellie looks beautiful and she has a beautiful heart. Saw her on Ellen with her new buzzed cut and she looked gorgeous.

Well, someone might get upset with my comment, but here goes. IMO, the grow-out is the worst thing about a woman getting her hair buzzed off. Apparently a co-worker lady agreed with me. A few years ago, she gave her longish locks the standard shocking #2 crewcut, then let it grow out twice to unwieldy lengths before deciding to buzz it off again. Finally, after two false starts, she let it grow back. It really did look best for the first 3 or 4 weeks after the cuts, and I could understand her frustration with hair sticking out in every direction after it grew out beyond an inch.
So, I'll say it. Kellie's hair cannot grow out of the porcupine stage fast enough for my tastes.

Bob, I agree with you; if you're going to grow it out, there is nothing more awkward. IMHO, if she would actually trim the nape and around the ears and let the top grow, it would look better but girls who do shave their heads for whatever reason do not want to think about another haircut until they reach close to their previous length or one that they're willing to settle on. I still think she's awful cute though and she added the blonde alot quicker then I thought she would. ------------- HAWG |

| Her hair was done that way for DWTS, they had some kind of disco routine. Last week she had an above the shoulder wig on that was more blonder. But when they showed clips from her rehersing her hair is still in a pixie. |
