A survey from OfficeMax found that roughly 40 percent of Americans think doing their own taxes is more dangerous than cutting their own hair.

The poll also had some more conventional findings on Americans, and their general unease about tax season.

For instance:

-- Six in ten say they are worried about getting audited. (For what it’s worth, as The Wall Street Journal reported recently, around 3.5 percent of those who make between $500,000 and $1 million are slapped with an IRS audit.)

-- Americans cite procrastination, nervousness, laziness, confusion and/or lack of organization as impediments to tax filing.

-- And accountants, meanwhile, point to their own problems: relationship problems and eating and sleeping poorly, among other things.

What do you think?  Is it more dangerous to cut your hair or do your taxes or both?  Do you do your own taxes or cut your own hair?
