Hi everyone :) I'm new to this site and I came here cuz I kinda have a small problem... You see I had wanted to do something a bit bolder for New Years Eve and decided to dye my dark dirty blond hair a reddish brown using a demi-permanent dye. It came out PURPLE with very bright pink tones, in the sunlight it looked like I had magenta hair. So since then I've been washing my hair daily with baby shampoo, and I've done a baking soda/hot water soak, hot oil treatment, and also a dishwashing/laundry detergent/shampoo wash. It took alot of the dark purple away, and some strands look almost back to normal, but there are horrid magenta tones left and the roots are especially vibrant. I don't even know if magenta is the right term for the tone, its hard to tell exactly as the blond from underneath is mixing with it resulting in a vomit-magenta color. Either way it is NASTY. I have uni in 2 days and I cannot go like this. I cannot afford to have this fixed in a salon and I would rather not go the route of stripping the color. It was a demipermanent so (I hope) it will eventually wash out. The biggest probem are the magenta tones. I've fixed hair color mistakes before, just never this particular unnatural shade. What color toner or hair dye should I use to combat the pink? I don't see magenta on the color wheel and I'm scared of making the situation worse... Any advice would be great
