I received this in an email from a friend reminding me to be careful with my long hair out in public. I get paranoid at times and pull my below waist length pony tail around and hold it in the front of me sometimes. My sympathies go out to this poor woman who was attacked and had her hair violated in a theater while she was out to enjoy a pleasant evening with her husband. Seven years of growth stolen from her. I cried just thinking how upset she must be.

HEAVENER, Okla. -- A Heavener woman had 18 inches of her hair cut without her knowledge as she sat in a Fort Smith movie theater, authorities said.

Elouise LeSueur, who spent seven years growing her hair past her hips, said she went to the Malco 12 Cinema to watch a movie with her husband with her hair tied up in a ponytail.

Although there were some teenagers sitting behind her, LeSueur said she didn't think of it until she left the theater and noticed a large chunk of her hair missing.

"I came out of movie theater and it fell down my back, and I thought my pony tail holder had fallen out," she said. "When I grabbed it, all my hair came out."

LeSueur said she was devastated. "I broke down," she said. "I cried so hard I made myself sick."

The manager of the theater said nothing like this has happened before. Employees usually patrol the theaters every 15 minutes and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

Poor lady.

That is appalling.
It is nasty, malicious and upsetting.

I guess there's a lesson in that regarding how to protect your hair in public places.

I just want 2 minutes alone in a locked room with the kids that did that......grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!

I'd only need 11 seconds assuming they were 4...

I hate all of the following and lots more : Fundamentalists, racists, sexists, fascists, ageists (people saying seniors = senile , kids = stupid , 18 = immature or a combo of them), and bigots for causes yet to receive their own designation.

Yeah, but you're about a foot bigger then me, K.
I'd need the extra time to tidy up afterwards, too (girl thing).
