Is the best long hairstyle one that is worn down or one that is worn up?

That depends on individual taste and whether you like updos or you prefer hair when it is down.

Personally I think both are nice. Long hair can be very versatile. I have long hair and on certain occasions I like wearing nice creative updos. Other times I experiment with leving my hair down and styling it that way.
