I'm new to this discussion forum, but I'm involved in the hair industry. I wanted to open up a quick discussion to get everyone to share a bit on their hair challenges and what everyone has tried doing in order to resolve them. I look forward to learning more about everyone.

Well a couple years ago I had some heat damage and dryness from repeated heat styling (flat irons and curling irons).

Now my hair is healthy, very long and shiny and I have no more heat damage. I stopped using heat appliances on my hair for the most part. I use them only 3 times a year now.

I do a deep conditioning treatment every week, make sure my hair is moisturized. I use products that work well for my hair. I switched to sulfate free shampoos. In general I am careful with my hair and gentle with it. I trim it when I need to and I don't use anything harsh on my hair not even hair dye.
