She apparently did this for the Sin City 2 filming but it has been growing out for months, then suddenly reshaved even shorter. Is it for the press tour or just because she liked it?
I have to say that I love Rosario with shorter hair so am not against this. Its not my favorite look but it is kinda fun and the resulting growout should be awesome. The whole side shave phenomenon is pretty crazy. I never would have figured it would get this much run but the truth is that there has been something really empowering for women shaving all or part of their hair in recent years and it has grown way bigger and more mainstream than I ever would have anticipated. |

That was my thought, too -- I'm not sure Rosario would consider it a compliment to be lumped in any group that holds Amanda as a member at the moment. And Avril and Cassie haven't exactly been household presences lately. |

Well if this keeps up we are going to see a lot more. Now my question is do they keep the longer side long or chop it when the other side gets to to the chin? One thing to watch. Cassie I think cut the the other side off. These celebrities are influencing the behaviour of young kids. When a friend of mine saw that her daughter -- an otherwise sweet girl -- had shaved a good portion of the side of her head, the mom said, "Oh God, what about your senior pictures?" ------------- Who has more fun than people? |

Six months later, how's that side shave working for you, Rosario? Those job offers not flocking in like you hoped? Working hard to cover it up in public? Another epic fail.

The way a lot of them do it, there's hardly much shaved. Think Carmen Electra or Avril Levigne. I'm not sure there was much shaved here either. As you see, there is a big comb over that could hide the shave at any time. ------------- jug jug to dirty ears |

It's amazing how you seem to know the motivations for every person's decisions Kramer. She shaved her head first for Sin City II, then grew it out, then redid it and kept it for more than a year, filming a movie with Chris Rock in which the funky haircut served no purpose. I did't love that look but she pulled it off well. Short hair and edgy looks like this one are transitional and not meant to be kept for decades. People like to change, keep it fresh and do new things. Doing so is not in any way indicative of massive regret or proves your love of long hair correct any more than it is disproved whenever someone cuts theirs off. One of the weird things about the side shave is that for all the complaints that grow out is so hard they actually seem to be able to cover it up relatively easily and, especially with access to extensions can simply decide they are done and go back to long hair. Happens all the time. Rosario is one of the only women I know who had this, grew it back and then shaved it again. She also really seemed to have fun with hit while it lasted. Hardly a compelling example of huge regret. |
