Potter plays a character who had cancer last season. While she wore a bald cap then, she cutting her hair short this season. She asked followers on Twitter to help.

I like the idea of her cutting it, and going public and letting people vote on options is a fun way to go about it (and daring, considering it's her head).
That said, I have a strong suspicion I won't like the end result, as none of the style options People chose are very appealing to me, and currently Julianne Hough's bland, undefined cut is winning in the polls. This is the kind of cut that only looks good the moment you walk out of the salon; the rest of the time it'll just be a shaggy mess. So, if you google Monica, you can find some older pictures that show what her hair looks like with a short wavy bob and it's pretty cute.
However, looking at the current leaders on her Twitter feed - and assuming she actually goes with the winner - it's still going to be shorter than anything she's had. Or possibly MUCH shorter if the pixie with the long bangs is the winner...

I love long hair. I look at her with short hair and she can pull it off. I hate to say this her hair looks great with curls when it is long. When it is stright it looks lifeless. Why would she ask for people to vote and then don't do the winning style. If she is doing the cut for post chemo after losing her hair for her role on parenthood,
the cut she did would be at least a year of growth. |
