Hi!

This is my first post... wondering if anyone has some advice for me...

current hair colour:
Brassy medium brown hair from drugstore box dye.. slightly reddish in some lights.
Looks blah on my pale/cool/pink complexion.

desired hair colour:
Dark ash/cool brown. I like having dark hair, but black is waaay too harsh (plus I dyed my hair black all through high school). Sometimes I use semi-permanent drugstore brands for dark brown, but they always fade to something brassy.

I would like to use Wella Colour Touch, which is demi-permanent.. should last a bit longer than semi and people seem to have good results.

I am just not sure if I should get an ash brown or a natural(neutral) brown dye to counteract my current brassy/red brown. For those that use Wella, I'm thinking either 4/71 or 4/0...   or maybe I should mix them?

I've attached a picture, but it's hard to convey the colour due to lighting/camera, etc..

Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks!
