*waves shyly* I wasn't going to post this, but I figure if it's a hair board, it must be the safest place. I'm a 27 year old lesbian with a hard time finding girls because 1) I'm too shy to approach them *blushes* and 2) I have a hard time finding girls who understand and share my love of very short hair and the process of getting there. Posting this just on the off chance some like-minded women might exist here. Other things I look for in a cute short-haired girl include kindness, patience, intelligence, and loyalty. Shared interests such as science-fiction, creative arts, and anime (preferably in the original Japanese) are a definite plus. |

Hello Kuroneko. I'm Tina, you have probably read my posts,-(especially on the short hair board)-. I am also 27. I'm bisexual. I have a 5 yr. old daughter that I had when I was married to a man. We are now divorced, although I still occasionally see him and I am trying to have another child with him. -(both he and I want another child and a sister or brother for our daughter)- . I am at present in a lesbian relationship with a woman named Kathy Ann who also on occasion writes here,-(not often though like I do)-. I consider myself basically married to Kathy. We are both 'femme' lesbians, that is we both look and act feminine, you would never know that I am bisexual and she is a lesbian. She is a little bigger boned and taller than I am. She is a brunette of Slavic/Italian heritage. I am smaller, petite and a natural blonde. She wears a medium length, just above the shoulder bob cut. I wear a short blonde pixie. She works full time outside of the house. I work part time and am a housewife and take care of my daughter. I am in the relationship I want now. Kathy and I love each other very much. You say you are a lesbian but are too shy to meet other lesbians? Why are you too shy? I don't know where you live but if you live in a major city or a suburb near a major city you should have no trouble finding lesbians at lesbian nightclubs, or through the personals in your local newspaper, or in cultural or gay,lesbian, bisexual newspapers. There are also G/L/Bi organizations in major cities. If you really need to find a woman to date and eventually maybe to love and make love with , you need to be assertive. Don't let your shyness stop you! I guess I am pretty assertive, I love to love, to make love and have sex with both men and women, and I always just went out and found it. You can too, but just writing a message on a computer board won't do it. Go out and find it girl! Get out there in the world and meet people. Other people are shy too but you need to get past that. As far as you liking short haired ladies, well don't limit yourself to just short haired women. I like men and women with long or short hair. If you limit yourself you may be ignoring someone who is right for you. Besides if you get to know someone and fall in love with each other then you can share your preference for certain hairstyles, but love is nice, is very beautiful with a sexy lady, regardless of her hair length! Go to it darling, don't be shy! Get out there in the world and find a beautiful woman to love!    ------------- tina |

I live in a very conservative area, which is one of the reasons it's difficult to meet people. I seriously worry someone might hurt me physically if I approach the wrong person, or even act too out there about my preference. I feel much more safe to freely discuss it OL. Even though some of the people who know me IRL know about it, they're often either still in denial or, if they accept it all right, they think I must be a ****. Really I'm a monogamy girl, though. I just want to find "the one" and settle down, pretty much the American ideal, except with a woman. . . The thing for short-haired women, well, I don't want to seem shallow, but I'm just not attracted to long-haired women. If I started dating a long-haired woman I'd end up convincing her to cut it off and keep it short for my benefit, which would automatically make me a controlling mate and make her resent me. So it's much easier just to find a woman who prefers short hair already, and knows in advance I prefer it, so I wouldn't have to seem creepy about it by bringing it up later. |

Hello Kuroneko, I'm Tina's significant other KathyAnn. * Kuroneko is an interesting name. Is that Japanese? Or perhaps eastern European? * Kuroneko, as a lesbian woman I know it is still difficult, particularily in a conservative area as you live in, to find the woman of your dreams. Don't give up! You might want to try the internet. Type in lesbian organizations, messageboards and chatlines on google. Are you political at all? The Republican and Democratic Parties both have gay, lesbian, bisexual organizations. A great place to meet people in your area and learn something about politics as well, and how our great country is governed. *I belong to an organization called the Log Cabin Republicans, an organization of gay, lesbian, and bisexual Republicans who deal not only with gay and lesbian issues but with every major political issue. Hetrosexuals can join this organization too, but it is a primarily gay/lesbian/bisexual group of people who share our politics together. A great place to make friends and maybe find that special someone, that woman that is right for you. You can contact either major political party through your yellow pages or directory assistance.
