last winter i took some extra biotin and EFAs. i noticed, that my hair was softer and was not so dry. i also ate lots of proteins a while ago and i noticed hair growth. its very important for healthy hair, that you get enough vitamins and proteins.

Hi gingerleespice,

Horsetail extract (silica) noticeably helped reduce fallout within days of including it in my supplementation regimen.

Hope this helps!

Hello Gingerleespice,

I found this link and it tells you lots about MSM, which has multiple uses. One of these is improving hair strength and growth. The formation of Keratin (a protein) for hair and nails is dependent on MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) and it's also essential for joint function and mobility amongst other things.
This article is worth reading for more info on MSM.

I am taking some hair vitamins including proteins, but I have only started taking them and therefore will have more feedback in a few weeks time.

I have used Biotin b4 and it does make the hair grow quicker from my observations. One drawback was that I was growing little hairs on my chest and chin, which I pulled out with tweezers. Overall I was happy with the biotin. I've also heard from another board that biotin shampoo and conditioner is good for thinning hair giving hair more volume and also helps with hair growth.
