I have to admit it doesn't look bad, but still think she would look more striking if it was dark or a brownish-red.  Oh heck, let's go all the way and have her cut it in an angled bob around chin length.

The "tentacles" look seems only to exist on female newscasters. See it all the time there, never anywhere else.
