Is there any woman public figure left for whom I should tune in to see their gorgeous long hair? I can't think of anyone off-hand.  Luckily, IRL, there are many, many women with beautiful waist-length or longer locks!

 Well Klaatu, I'm not upset about the vast majority of celebrities wearing bland haircuts, just surprised. This trend toward choppy lobs is a snoozer to me. And those who do keep length but have shaved ares clippered into their heads are bewildering. Not good! I know that there are plenty of amazing photos online, but frankly, in my area, there are as many heads of stunning long hair as there have ever been! Fashion leaders don't have as much sway with ordinary women as they used to. I'd rather see my wife in a standard pixie cut than one of these nondescript amateur-looking hairdos, and believe me, I hope to never again see either one on her.  P.S. My wife has come to hate short hair on herself. P.P.S. Kate's cut in particular is not bad at all, (I'm referring to many others featured here recently), but it is definitely not an improvement IMO.

Nice research work HAWG However, by my definition, some of those are not lobs. To me a lob is just above the shoulder to just past the shoulder with little to no layering. Most of the time there is a slight angling with it longer in the front. Several of the Bond girls are nice but partial to Camille at this point
