During last weekend I realized that it makes five years that I've been a widow. Things I have learned about the single life/life itself. 1) I tried hard to pleased my husband by growing my hair but my hair never grew fast so his dream of having a wife with hair like Crystal Gayle ( probably wrong spelling of her name) never occured. When he died I continued because it was my choice. 2) Had a finance that wanted me to cut my friend but the unrealiable scum left and luckily I never cut my hair. Two months ago he came back in my life. Amazing all I gave a tiny phone call and he came running but quickly enough I told him to hit the road when I found out that I grew and he didn't and opened my eyes to see who he was. So I treasure the memories of a man that I almost married and feel releived that I never did marry him. 4) Had another boyfriend that when he was pissed off wanted me to cut my hair and I never agreed. Humm he left also in the long run. He was very self centered. 5)Now I have this much younger man in my life that loves long hair but I don't care. He brushes my hair and is totally in love with me but I will not do what my heart doesn't want. I realize in life you got to do what is best for you and only rely on you because people come and go in our lives and we are left keeping up the pieces. Broken hearts and broken promises but noone will ever take what I really want in my life. Its not worth a penny of a thought to cut one's hair because of scummy boyfriend. Its not worth it because the cost at the end is too high and they go on with their lives leaving broken hearts behind. ------------- dianefromcanada |

I'm very happy for you, and I really think you should hold onto this new boyfriend. The others seemed disatisfied with your hair no matter what the length, when they should just love you for who you are at the present. It's very sweet how your new boyfriend appreciates you by caring for your hair without pressuring you to grow or cut it.  Aren't you glad you listened to your instincts about keeping your hair, and now found someone who loves that about you? ------------- |
