Dandruff has not done this to your hair. You have two separate problems, dandruff, and dry, coarse hair. Treat the dandruff, and moisturize your hair properly to improve its condition.

If you think the dandruff is really serious, you should definitely go to a dermatologist.

Jojoba is good for your hair. You should use a few drops a day and work it into your hair, wet or dry. It can also be used as a deep treatment.

It's probably your shampoo. How often do you use it? Shampoo can be drying to your hair.

For my client who has hard core crust on his hair, I use this professional scalp treatment by Hair Support.  I rub the paste on his hair and let him sit under the dryer for 30 min.
