This style trend is beginning to bore me...kind of a 'safe' way to make a noticeable change (instead of going dramatically shorter)...at least i think so

Boring is correct. It is kind of dull. It looks good, in the "she ran a comb through it, and it's not horrible" sort of way. 

She has a pretty face,so she can pull it off.
