Much, maybe too much, has been posted elsewhere about hair fetishists recently. I am not here to debate the rights and wrongs of fetishism. But whether one regards them as enlightened or perverted, I think most would agree that they are different, in a minority, and perhaps not it the true sense of the word, "healthy".
Some may disagree with that last bit, but the point I am making is that I am wondering if, as a male hair lover, I am actually a bit of a fetishist myself (eek!)
The reason I say that is that to girls and women, hair is just one part of the fashion jigsaw, call it conditioning if you like. But we men have no such conditioning, it would be a bit of a "cissy" thing to be interested in whilst at school. And if we are to be honest, it is the basic sensuality of hair, long, short, shaved, whatever turns us on - that keeps us men interested. And the vast majority of us have our heads screwed on right, so we don`t have to be "pervy" about it - hair is just a very fundamental turn on. But fetishism is all about being "turned on" by disparate objects. So does that mean that we male hair enthusiasts, by strict definition, are all fetishists? I don`t know - maybe someone out there does.

Phil,

besite the meaning of this term how it is described in dictionaries it is important how it is used on websites. The so called fetish sites I have looked at are exceptionally cut off sites which enjoy hair cuts, and mostly the attribute fetish is used from people who are "dying for cutting it". Besite that there exist fetishists who have individual preferences for sexuality and they may have it or not if it is not harmful for one of the partners. I myself can live without hair but it gives me an additional pleasure to see it, if it is long and healthy and beautiful, that other things don`t give. Maybe I am fetishist or not but sure not a cut off one. The usual life requests for me doesn`t have anything to do with the hair topic.
