Sometimes, out of nowhere, your man (or woman) will do something so sweet and unexpected. Just a day or so ago my guy just up and wanted to brush my hair. It was very nice.

I havent had anyone brush my hair except for a lady in a wig store when I was trying on short styles for fun. She did not brush gently. In fact she was pretty rough with the ponytailing of my hair too...but she didnt mean to be. Over all she was super helpful and very nice. She was helping my friend find a suitable long hair wig for a rennaisance faire.

My friend is Puerto Rican and her hair is "unmanageable and hard to grow long" according to her. So she decided to find a wig that would be the perfect long hair substitute. As a plus it was exactly the shade of brown she wanted. Shes been trying to dye her very dark hair a lighter golden brown. This wig was that color and blended in with her bangs so well that she could have walked out of the store with out paying. The lady at the desk charged her for two hair clips and no wig until she said "hey its on my head"...lol!!!

Anyways she had nice long hair for the renn faire.

Im thinking about going back to that store to get more pony tails for my own hair so I can have a shorter style that stays up (my own styling of my hair falls out unless its very tightly braided, but braiding my hair up then putting a short wig on stays put). I want to use these wigs for my danceing. Im thinking of finding something very dark, somethign very curly (darn this florida humidity, in NY my hair will stay curled for three days, here in Florida only three hours if im lucky and dont go outside), and something red.

Tee hee, then if i go back to dancing at the resturant no one from my old (and evil) troop will recognise me...or at least they will have to look twice. Ill have a dancing name too...but what, I dont know.

Anyone got any good bellydancer names?

Lol, three topics under one heading!

Hi Erinlynn,

Let's see.. a name for a belly dancer... the only one that comes to mind is "Desiree"... and I imagine that is as common in the belly dancing world as "Smith," right?

It's wonderful when your S.O. expresses their appreciation for your hair.

Funny story about your friend.

Hello,

Lurk here a fair bit (only tend to actually post at longhaircommunity, under my real name Siobhan), and whilst I have no good imagination for names for you (I should go for something fairly exotic sounding but many Middle Eastern names have meanings I think, so it may depend on what you want to portray. Something may jump out at you from this selection http://www.bdancer.com/med-guide/names/fnames.html - http://www.bdancer.com/med-guide/names/fnames.html ) I like Bob wanted to shower praises on your avartar. Any chance of a bigger pic? I'd love to see it, I need all the inspiration I can get!

Hi, thanks for the website, im going to browse through it =) The links above hopefuly will take you to some larger pics...

Is it bad that Ilike the following name? Zuleika (changed the spelling a bit after the book)

Zaleekhah (zoo-lee-kah)
M = so beautiful that people gape in wonderment
M = . Biblical; woman who loved Joseph.

I hardly think the name describes me at all. I dont think Im that beautiful in the least. But I love how the name sounds and I loved the book. I didnt know the origin or meaning of the name before.

BTW you all should read Zuleika Dobson...great story...and the name describes her perfectly. Ive worn a black pearl in one ear and a pink one in the other before. I ought to do that more often. People eventualy notice and ask me about them.

Raaaaaaa~!

Hi Esie/Siobhan, welcome to the board! It's nice to see you post here (I enjoy reading your posts at LHC's "Mane" board).

Erinlynn, I think you are being much too hard on yourself. I believe (and I'm sure others will agree) that you are a beautiful woman. I look forward to seeing the pics... perhaps another day...

Erinlynn, if you aren't beautiful "in the least", how do you photograph as such? Don't sell yourself short! Bob
