I am under the impression that there is such a thing as a "natural" part. A line along which your hair will willingly part with the least amount of violence and profanity [though not necessarily in the most stylish fashion of course...God has a sense of humor] Does anyone know how to properly determine this "path of least resistance?" Does the location of the little swirl where your hair seems to originate at the crown of your head determine the starting point and direction?

Thanks.

Hi, Jeff! Yes, I think everyone has a `natural` part, altho it might not be straight. sometimes it can do at kind of an angle across your head (mine is like that & don`t think it doesn`t make me crazy!). The best way to find it is to comb or brush your hair straight back and then very lightly push it forward, and the part should reveal itself. If your hair is really short, I`m not sure if this`ll work...you could try letting it dry naturally, without putting anything in it, and at least some of it should part itself naturally. If not, there`s always stuff like gel and pomade that you can use to force it into submission.
Hope I could help!
Love, Ingrid

I'd stay on the ground and show you some things
The grass is strewn with blades of gold
all sights and sounds I have been told
all hopes, desires, seem to sing
