Before I start, I know nearly nothing about hair, ok?

Here are some pictures of Matt Bellamy of the band Muse and some of his many hair styles/colours:

How does he get his hair THAT red? some of my friends have died their hair but it doesn`t come out that bright, it just looks like their normal hair colour with a coloured tint. It would be great if I could get my hair as bright but blue instead of red. Can you suggest anything?

And also how does he get his hair in those styles? It doesn`t look like gel to me. And where would I buy that?

Sorry if my questions are a little stupid but I don`t know much about hair.

Don't worry, i'm here to help lol.

First off. Getting your hair that red isn't so much difficult as it is time consuming. Dying anything red is hard, even red in tattoos is hard. I don't know exactly why but i've *heard* that it has something to do with the color red itself.

Anyways, i have jet black hair and have found it fairly easy to get my hair ever brighter and bolder that the ones you've shown. I strip my hair with a product like "Loreal Blondissma" and then dye it red using a product like "Manic Panic - Pillar Box Red". the only problem is that red duy washes out VERY quickly.

As for the style i'd gather that he uses a hair wax or mayyyybe a pomade. i'd bet it's wax though. way will let you have that dry, product free look but still hold a wild style and texture.
