hmmm well we need more description about your self, a hairstyle must suit your lifestyle not the other way around. What are you willing to do with your hair colour? perm? straightning? How much time and cash are you willing to spend on your hair? If you can give me these anwers I might be able to help you

well, I think I'm going to relax my hair soon, cause I want the spiky look, especially David borenaz's haircut. He has fine wavy brown hair, like me so I think i can get the same style. I'm going to have it done by a hairdresser. I think it lasts longer than having it done with specific products. My lifestyle : young, partying. When I go to downtown Montreal, everybody has this style, and I'm ready to spend 25 to 30 (canadian) dollars.

cool... canada I helped a friend in canada with his hairstyles choices and problems :) Well you made a good choice with the spikey look. This style is generic which means almost anyone can have it. This looks is perfect for any occasion. You can tone the spikes down for the office or spike it and colour like hell for parties. There are many variations for these look. You can either shaved the side and back off and leave the top for spikes, or leave some hair of the side and back and then spike. You can chose either way. If you are on a budget I recomend you use Loreal Studio Special Fx Radical Gel and Loreal Studio Special Fx Out of Bed or Remix. You use the Out of Bed or Remix for the messing up the hair, then use the Radical Gel to make the spikes pointier and more defined. Then blow your hair upside down or you can leave it to dry. If you want to make your spikes more cool looking and defined, higlighted it, but since you are relaxing your hair, i recomend you not to. But if you insist you have to have your hair relaxed first then wait 2 weeks then have it highlighted. I hope I helped you in this matter

tks clari. I went to 3 different hairstylers, and they all told me I did'nt need to relax my hair because it's slightly wavy. I just need to keep my hair short enough (but not too short, otherwise u can't style ur hair). I also bought FX radical gel (what a coincidence) last week (I'll use this one for partying, cause this glue remembers me "all about Mary") and I'm using "Spike" from Shortcuts on "normal" days. I've been told Fructis spiking gel is a good one too. thanks for ur advices.

one more question Clari. When u apply gel to spike hair, do you do it on very wet hair, or slightly damp (a little towel-dried)? tks

I wouldn't be a bad idea to have your hair in like a crew cut, but with a french crop type fringe. Pretty short though, cos then it would set off your face. I dont think having spiky hair is the best option for you because your hair looks quite thick and a little wavy. So something short and manageable would be sensible.

my hair is not that thick. The crew cut would suit me well, but it reminds me of the 50's (although retro hairdos are back in style). Rifgt now, I'm having the "bachelor" haircut (Andrew, the latest Bachelor on ABC) wich is a mini-mohawk. Tks Glen

Well its best to have damped hair to spike it. Its easier then when it is wet. If u really want it to last blow dry after wards

tks. But a lot of people (men and girls) told me to let my hair grow longer. Some told me I should have it like Paul Walker in 2fast2furious, and some told me to style it like Peter facinelli in Fastlane. (I have never said I looked like these guys)

I think you should definitely go with a short taper on the sides and back and keep the top fairly short..not quite a crew cut though, you should keep it long enough to stay curly. As far as product goes you should try a shine creme.it'll make you black hair very shiny.
