A comb is not required. Only time a comb is probably needed is if you are using that scurl wave kit textizer. But if you insitit than get the one your sister or mom uses. Comb it for 5min (i say in the direction of the waves so the same way you do the brush) Once again.... longer hair is only required if you want to put in a scurl kit or duke wave kit. You can put the grease on whenever you want (day or afternoon.) But put the stuff on when your hair is alittle DRY..so its still damp and wet. WAves show up when you have long and short hair.. When it gets real long.. it may curl up and look nappy as ****... so dont let it get 2 long if you care about yourself. Back to the comb that your momma uses it.. its the one with the 2 size ones..
