... because the boards have gotten very quiet the past few days.
Now that the warmer weather is with us, who among us is wearing their hair differently than during wintertime? (such as down now, vs up in winter, or maybe the other way around...)
Also, it seems to me that more girls and women are wearing their hair longer recently. Has anybody else noticed the same thing? Maybe it's just more are wearing their hair down... since the weather is warmer.

yah, i've noticed that too. even my cousins, who ALWAYS have the latest hairstyles, are growing their hair out long. so i guess we're getting stylish again...
though it's kind of irritating because they started growing their hair out about the same time i did
and
i want my hair to be much longer than theirs!

Yes, the board is quiter, but at the same time, itīs good that people are getting out of the house!
In my neck of the woods, right now as Iīm waiting for easter dinner guests, itīs snowing... But itīs april snow, so thatīs a spring sign, if you can tell different types of snow apart. I have become much more in tune with snow since I started working outside. Actually, I love weather of all kinds, even those that offer more "friction" than others.
As for the hair, now that a hat isnīt always necessary, I have started to experiment more with hairsticks. They make some really attractive setups, at the same time as they take up more room. I almost poked my husbands eye out the other day, as he was romancing me!
Longer hair does seem more common now on the younger girls. I went to a baptism two weeks ago, and all the teenagers and even younger girls had long hair, with little braids, pearls, waffles and what have you. Very creative and inspiring (I might try that with a hippie look for summer). And their hair is so thick, unlike mine... (slight envy)
Happy Easter all of you!

Dave,
here in Jersey weather is SLOWLY shifting to spring.. (Last week the temps ranged from late 20s to high 60s!! which lead to lot of sick people here). we also get more rain now (but you know the saying April showers bring May flowers..) So we'll see.. I'm PATIENTLY waiting for warm weather 'cause I want my hair to grow LONG faster!!!!!!!! :) :) Oh and I want to experient w/ hair sticks too! Only problem is that I have slight layers on the side and they stick out in the bun.. and doesn't look very professional for work.. :) may be when it's longer I may try to get them to not stick out..

or u could always leave the shorter layers out in front of ur face if u fancy... (personally, it annoys the heck out of me when I do it, but it looks nice on other ppl...)

Im here...now...i was sick for the last two weeks. A bad fluish thing.
Ive noticed more long haired gals in recent years too. In general though just below bra strap is the most typical.
I guess that with the LOTR and actresses in particular all getting extentions long hair is popular again. Or at least that is my opinion on the whys.
In the winter i wer my hair down more to keep my neck warm and in the summer up.
I hate spring. Too mushy and pollony and just plan ick. i like summer, fall and winter far far better =)
I always get sick in the spring too but I can survive the rest of the year without hardly an illness. I keep a record of colds and such (becasue im nuts) and most fall in spring. last year I had 3 colds in the spring and the rest of the year I was a healthy girl!.

hey hipjazz... we longhairs have always been stylish... the difference now is that the secret is out.
Viktoria... Your hubby's going to have to be more careful! (laugh) And, it sounds like beautiful hair abounds in your church. Way cool.
sunset... best of speedy growth in getting those layers to be long enough to cooperate and give you a sleek updo!
Erinlynn... sorry to hear you were ill, for so long too! hope you have returned to full strength. Your hypothesis may well be correct. Though I don't notice many ultra-long, it seems most everyone here (in RL) has shoulder-length or longer. May the trend continue evermore!
