Has anyone here noticed some differences between different hair oils? What kind of? Which oil do you find best and why?

Also I´ve been thinking if there really are some essential differences between hair-oils and salad-oils. Because of lack of money I´ve been using turnip rape oil (hope that word is correct, it sounds a little weird but I found it in my dictionary) and that seems to have some positive effects (the tangles have decreased and the hair is a little more shining). So I was wondering if almond, jojoba or avocado oils would be even better...

I don't really know the answer to your question, Helen, but I'm sure I've read somewhere that avocado is good for hair - or maybe it was for skin!! It might be worth a try, anyway.

Hi Helen,

If you've read any of my prior posts on the subject, you might notice that I am biased in favor of jojoba oil.

Jojoba is actually a wax, but it is structurally similar to the sebum (a wax) that your skin (especially on the scalp) naturally exudes.

I have tried coconut and olive oils, both were terrible for my hair, but they work for some. It might depend on your hair's texture (Mine is fairly fine).
