Thank you all for the information. I`ll keep an eye out for everything you suggested, and play around with it until something works out. I already have long hair that goes down to my mid-back. (Short hair styles look dreadful on me) I`ve noticed that it`s mainly the ends of my hair (and about 3 inches above) that are wavey and out of control. Closer to the roots, my hair is relatively straight. Thanks again!
Hi Nkki Straight hair is not all that. But, since that seems to be what you want right now I have some tips for you. Wavy or curly hair needs more moisture than straight hair. It takes longer for the oils to travel down the wavy shaft. You NEED a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Find a beauty supply store that sells to the public. There you can find a line of hair products called Biosilk. It works really well. Shampoo, conditioner, etc. Also look for a line called Laminates. Very good too. There are straightening products by them that will help you achieve that straight hair you want. You need to buy a very large round barrel brush to use when blow drying your hair straight. Do a section at a time then let it cool down and set before you do any final styling like flipping the ends under or out or a light going over with a straightening iron. Then lightly spray with hair spray. I suggest growing your hair long to help pull it down. The longer wavy/curly hair gets the straighter it appears. If you just want to manage your wavy hair and enhance it I know about that too. I have wavy hair, used to hate it growing up now I love it. It takes so long to straighten it unless you do it chemically.

Yeah, a good cut will greatly improve the overall appearance of your hair. You might also try a straightening iron, or flat iron, or whatever you wanna call them, you know what I`m talking about.:D
First, I want you to know that some day, it will not matter if you are a complete and utter social outcast. Some day junior high and high school will be the remote past.

It sounds like you got in the wrong line when the hair genes were being passed out. Luckily, there are several things you could do to better your hair situation. First, you need to get a good cut (style) that works with your face shape and hair type (you might not be able to have the "perfect, straight hair). Next, look for hair products that combat your problem (I believe there is one called frizz out or something like that), if all else fail you could get it professionally straightened - kind of a long, expensive task but some think it is worth it. Good Luck
Okay... I`ll be straight forward: I am a complete and utter social outcast. In other words, I know nothing about hair. I see all these girls walk around with nice, straight, perfect hair that never seems to get messy--even in gym class. I, however, have wavey, frizzy hair that seems to get messed up within 3 minutes after brushing. Since no one around here will help me, I figured this would be a perfect opportunity to ask what the secrets to having nice hair are. What sorts of shampoos, conditioners, styling gels, hair sprays, equipment, and such do you people use? It would mean the world to me if someone could help. Thanks.
