Well, I decided that my shoulder length hair needed a change. I went to a new salon today and got it cut. Well, now it is really short and I HATE it! My bangs were as long as the rest of my hair, but now it is laying on my forehead. This hairstyle makes me look ALOT older. I am 26 yrs old, but I could pass for 40 now.lol I feel bald! I so wish that I didn`t get it cut off! It was at a difficult stage and I got tired of trying to fix it. It was so limp! Can anyone suggest any kind of hair care that will help grow my hair out faster? I need some hair!! I don`t even wanna step outside my house now. Please help me!

Sorry you are suffering from "cutter`s regret". It happens more often than you think...you are not alone. It takes some effort to get through that awkward stage when you are growing your hair out. I wish I could tell you there is a magic elixir you could take and your hair would be as long as you want. There isn`t. However, my clients have had really good luck with the H37 hair vitamins sold on this web site. I must say their hair did indeed seem to grow in faster and healthier since they started using the vitamin. I highly recommend it. Others have told me they got very good results with the Nature`s Bounty vitamins (sold at Wal-Mart). A book I have about hair gives these tips for growing hair: 1) Eliminate or cut back on smoking, caffeine and fizzy drinks which weaken the body and block maximum growth. 2) Eat a healthy diet, avoid foods that are high in sugar or fat. 3) Treat your hair carefully and avoid any unnecessary brushing, combing or handling. 4) Avoid the use of hot water, hot blow dryers and other hair care tools that may stress the hair. 5) Have a weekly scalp massage to provide stimulation to the hair follicles. 6) Have regular trims to eliminate split ends and allow the hair to look and feel healthier. 7) Believe it or not, the water you use to wash your hair can cause damage if it is too chlorinated. After you wash your hair, just rinse with mineral water, it will make a big difference to the split ends. You have a number of things to try and I hope at least some them work for you. Good luck!!!

Hi Tina,

I am so sorry to hear about what happened to you and your hair. I wish that hadn`t thought that your hair needed a change, let alone rushed in and had your hair cut. It is sad to see how many young women do as you did and then realise that their hair wasn`t that bad after all. I am really upset for you Tina, especially as your haircut now makes you look so much older. I am amazed how many women withink cutting their hair off will make them younger, but ineviatably it more often than not is the reverse.

To you Tina, I wish to offer you any support or friendship that you may want or need to console you over what has happened and to encourage and support you in regrowing your hair. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to, I will do anything I can to help.

Best wishes,

Hi, I did the same thing this weekend & I have been crying all weekend! My fiance thinks I am nuts & says that my hairis cute but I hate it. It makes me feel so unattrative. Now I guess I just get to wait months, & months. At least I will NEVER cut my hair more than 1/2 inch again. Good luck with your grow out!

hey guys. I think every one has been in the boat u are in. My hair was super long blonde and shinny. And i cut it to my sholders. I know its not that short, But my bf didnt like it. And I didnt really. But its growing now. But in the real world hair is a beauty statment. I wish it wern that way because I really like short hair IM jst scared to cut mine off. In about 2 weeks Im going in to cut mine. Somthing real sexy like anna nicloe smiths short hair. Short hair can be great but before making the big change you should try on wigs, talk about it to people, think back... have u ever had a bad hair cut? Do u like short hair or long. And so what who cares if your man or friends dont like short or long hair if your happy thats all that matters. Hair extentions are great 2!!!!!!!!! go online and buy some. they have clip ons now that dont damege hai! Im going to get some just for the fun of it. So do what u want to do

Anna, I don`t get it. You didn`t learn from your mistake? You regret cutting your hair; yet, you say you`re going to get it cut again in two weeks. This will probably sound sexist, but I encounter many women who regret cutting their long, gorgeous hair. The only ones who seem to support them are other women who say the new look is "cute." Let it grow, let it grow, let it grow.

lol let me see, why doesn`t Gord get a haircut and every woman that support`s women and believes in being kind whisper in his ears" the new look is cute"! lol lol
Oh I almost forgot you are so cute there Gord. This was too priceless to not tease you.

so what if people say the haircut is cute or not. Maybe they mean it or maybe not. The most important part is to always respect people`s choices We all have our preferences. Being kind is nothing to joke about but to encourage at all times. Just like when my mother dyed her hair pink when she turned 60. I hated the thought of having a mom with pink hair but I respected and listened to her reasons. It turned out it drew attention to some males and she thought it was great and good for her......
I have to admit that pink hair on her did look great.. Also giving opinions is not always the best thing. The other day this beautiful woman that I work with is very slim and petite and this male came up to her and said that she needs to put on at least 30 lbs. Okay he prefers plump women but he had no rights hurting her feelings. She is perfect the way she is and it took her a very long time to lose that weight. Kindness is priceless and rare and needs to be practice more often.

Anna2002,

I think you are lucky to have both worlds. Almost all my life I had short hair and always wondered what it would be like to have super long hair. Good advice about trying wigs, doing your research etc. I happen to enjoy every lenght of hair on people and yes I had a bad hair cut. Sounds like you love trying new things. YOu only live once and matter as well enjoy your choices in life!! Why not! Blessed as those who actually acheive what they want and accomplish their goals and still be happy about it all.

I love a lot of short hair styles on people - I just think it`s WAY too much trouble for me.

Like said, it doesn`t matter what other people think - if you are not happy change it...gabi
