I noticed when I am at college my hair is very staticy (beyond control) but when I go home for breaks my hair is not. I use the same products and everything and so have come to the conclusion that my problem may be due to the water at school since the water there seems very chlorinated and may be hard. Is this assumption correct.

I also have problems with static electricity but it seems to depend more upon the humidity of the room or habitat than anything else. Maybe you could get one of the small humidifiers (cold steam) for your room. This would also help with any problems related to your respiratory system. I noticed mine really helps my sinuses.
