Hi everyone!I thought that I should share on how to give yourself a great deep penetrating conditioning treatment at home using both a high tech device and a low tech one that almost every home has, i.e. - a microwave and a plastic recycled grocery bag.Microwavable Deep Conditioning TreatmentsApply either a deep moisture reconditioner or a protein reconstuctor to your clean damp hair then heat a damp towel inthe microwave for a nice heat treatment during a deepconditioning application. I recommend that the towel be put in a plasticgrocery store bag to keep the micro sanitary. Then wrap the towelaround your hair and put the bag on over the towel. It helps keep the heatin. Doing this twice weekly can help with a multitude of hair problems,including dry hair and scalp.In your service,Mickhael
That is a really good tip. How long do you heat the towel for (I wouldn't want to make it too hot) and what do you think is a good reconstructor? Thanks.

Thanks.Hi Serena!Since different microwaves have different strength elements, I would set it for the same amount of time you would for a"not to hot" cup of coffee. On most nukers this is one minute and ten seconds. A rule of thumb - if it is toohot to hold in your hand for a few seconds, then it is toohot for your head. Keep in mind the hair will be damp - soyou should actually only be aware of the heat on your neck and top of your ears.I recommend the reconstructors below, butuse only once or twice a week:For coarser hair - Joico K-PackFor medium texture hair - Redken Fat CatFor Fine hair - KMS Ultra PackIn your service,Mickhael

Hi Elisabella,I have not had any of my plastic cups or plastic Safewaygrocery bags melt yet.As for reconstructors or reconditioners the average timeis 10 minutes (fine hair) to 20 minutes (coarse Hair) - I did not suggest a daily conditioner because the molecularweight and size of the ingredients (except water)will be too large to penetrate into the cortical layer of the hairshaft even with the action of heat opening up the the outer cuticle layer of the hairshaft.In your service,Mickhael> I was just wondering if the plastic bag would melt in> the heating process?
