First wash after perm - how soon?

Go ahead and shampoo tomorrow and I'd love to hear what others think about the "48 hour" wait.

With most perms, I use a product by Redken called 'Perm Lock', which allows me to shampoo immediatly after the perm and still get good results. Anyway, 24 hres is usually ok, just be gentle and try not to stretch or pull too tauntly when styling, and the curl will stay much longer. william
