Hello,
I have found that when I do strenous exercise my hair sweats a lot and this can lead to breakage, my hair reverting, and pimples on my skin. Besides, messing up my hairdo. I`ve heard of rinsing the scalp after exercise to prevent hair damage, but how is that done without wetting/reverting the hair? My hair is about chin length, cut in a bob, loses curl easily, and not exactly long enough to put in a ponytail, any suggestions on what I can do with it while I`m exercising.
The reason that sweating can cause breakage is the salt found in prespiration, it dries the hair thus causing it to break. You say your hair sweats "alot", I can get away with wrapping my hair while I work out and secure it w/metal clips, I won`t sweat it out and the dampness that occurs is usually minimal. Getting the hair off the face may help with pimples, but by all means if you`re working out at a regular interval, it may be in your hair`s best intrest to be washed a little more often. Have you also considered braids? I hope this info has helped.
