Hi there,

It sounds like you`ve been growing your hair longer lately? When your hair is longer, it only looks like you`re losing more hair because each hair you lose is longer (10 waist-length strands is more hair than 10 shoulder-length strands). And it`s normal to lose 50 or more strands per day.

Is your hair thinning near the ends, or throughout the length? If at the ends, it may be that your hair needs a little trim, or that your hair may not be able to grow any longer given your present lifestyle characteristics -- exercise, stress, diet, haircare. Even if you haven`t changed these factors, your diet, for example, may not be sufficient (like, not enough protein). You may want to consider vitamin & mineral supplementation if you are not already doing so -- it will help ensure that you have the right nutrients available for your body and hair.

You may want to consider gentle scalp massages, it may help improve circulation and reduce stress and thus, improve your hair.

I hope that some of this helps!

Hey :)

I have waist-long hair. I adore the length but the problem is, I think it is getting too heavy. I used to have alot of hair but now, it has gotten *VERY* visably thin.

You should look at the white floor tiles in my bedroom! I practically have a hair carpet.

I went for a wash-&-blow the other day and even the hairdresser commented that he`s getting very stressed from blowing my hair because everytime he combs it down to blow, some hair fall out. :
I`m just 19 years old. I shouldn`t be losing so much hair. I`m not on a diet, nor have I changed my eating habits since I started growing my hair long. So I`m inclined to think that it *is* because my long hair is heavy which is what some people tell me?

Also, I have fine hair, ironically. How can I make my hair stronger, yet curb this "heavy hair" problem?

URGH! :(
