Hello all, I`m getting my hair done in a couple of days and I`m looking for a new style. My hair is thick so I was wondering did anyone know any celebs that also have thick hair? I want to look at a picture of their hair for new styles. Thanks a lot

If your hair is very thick it`s important to get the conditioning products deep into the inner hair shaft otherwise they will wash right out. Use a good re-moisturising shampoo & conditioner that is rich in protein and will cleanse hair gently. Apply conditioner liberally especially to the ends. Comb through to prevent snagging and cover with a towel for about 15 minutes to enable the heat from your scalp to open the cuticles to allow the conditioner to penetrate deeply. Thick hair can be difficult to manage and the secret is a textured cut (but avoid too many layers) as it`s important to create softness and texture to this type of hair. Try a spray conditioning styling lotion, which creates fullness with a beautiful shine. A bob is a good style for thick hair and keeping the layers long will help you dry your hair straight more easily. If your hair is thick and straight go for the layered look of the blunt look. Colors always compliment a bob. For the blunt styles add a semi permanent color to give depth and shine. Highlights and low-lights add texture and movement to layered styles.

I have very thick wavy hair. All my life hairdressers have said long layers would give "movement" to my hair. Well three years ago I gave it a try-all I can say is don`t do it. Layers just made my hair bigger inless I spent alot of time on it. Now I stick to long blunt cut with softly textured sides. Think of Katherine Zeta-Jones
