What kind of coconut oil do u use? I got some from Walmart but I don't think I got the right kind-I think it's for cooking b/c when I melted it, it smelled like shortening

Got mine from walmart to, out of the supplement section, and it says extra virgin coconut oil in big letters with a cracked coconut in the front in a 16oz plastic white jar and it costs $9.99 or $9.96
and it smells and taste like coconut ,do not get it out of the isle with the other cooking oils because it might be just for cooking. hope this helps.
