She did look better as a brunette--but it seems that she was rocking the dreads even then!

Actually, regardless of the poor choice of the twisted dreads shown above, I've long contended that, with her coloring, Shakira makes a terrible blonde.  She should go back to brunette.  Do a bit of searching and you can find some old pics where she was and you can see what I mean.
 
BTW, that could be a whole thread unto itself: "Blondes who should be".  I'll get you started - CNBC's Melissa Francis.  Discuss. :)

Anyway i don't see what's wrong with her dreads...at least she's doing something a little different.

Yeah.... no.

If you're male, live in Jamaica and play in a steel drum band, by all means. If you're female and want to look remotely sexy, this is not the way to go. (at least IMHO)

I've never seen the sex appeal of hair tied in knots. Anyone?

anyway, what's wrong with her dreads (can't be "if Perez is against it, we're all against it." lol).  I think it's pretty original - gotta give her that much.
