You guys seem to know heaps about hair and makeup and stuff and so i thought that this would be the right place to go for advice. Every day to school i wear my hair tied back in a pony tail, and it looks really boring (i have to wear my hair up for school its polocy). Would anyone know any good 'do yourself' easy nice looking updos?

i have a friend with long, straight hair that has psoraisis and when it's really bad, it affects her scalp. Anyway, she has to only wash once a week so she wears it up a lot. One of my faves is a ponytail pulled together at the nape of her neck to start. Then she takes thick sections of the ponytail and twists and twists until it starts to buckle or twist into itself. She pins it down and does this with all the hair that's in the ponytail. it looks like you spend hours on it and the ends are sticking out if you like. Here's an article on the basic concept:

Or you could just wear a bun but put some of those decorative chopsticks thru it for fun.
CO wash only since September '04! Dyed red botticelli curls (3b), fine and just past shoulder length
