I would like to hear from experienced Socap stylists and also clients who have worn Socap extensions.

I have had a lot of requests lately for fusion extensions.  I am not interested in Great Lengths.  I think Socap sounds interesting.

I am finding more and more that probably due to the silicone coating on the hair, the shrink links are slipping for a lot more people.

I also do a lot of the silicone microrings, but the crimping action is really hurting my hand.  My hand often aches from the neuropathy of my MS, so I want a alternative extension method that will be easier on my hands.

So...

How well does Socap stay in the hair or do they slip?

Does it shed?

How  difficult are they to remove?

Do they have any keratin chips to rebond the  hair so it  can be reused more than once?

Has anyone tried the cold UltraSonic machine for application?

Is the hair decent quality?

Does the company have good customer service:  gets orders out on time, in stock in most of the colors / textures, is available to answer question, etc...

Thanks.  I did call the company and they are supposed to be sending me information in the mail.

I too use Socap, this has been my experience with it:

1)bonds seem to hold well. For instance, I just used socap on a client a month ago, and so far she has only lost one bond

2)the hair seems to not shed, in terms of tangling, I have all my clients get a detangler and that seems to work for them

3)I do have the ultrasound cold fusion machine.  I really like it, as well as the flat bond technique. I think it lays better and clients have noted that its more comfortable to sleep on then barrel bonds. At first making the transition between thermal/round and cold/flat was challenging , but Im getting use to it now.

4)so far their customer service has been great, my hair comes in very quickly.

Hope this helpsTongue

I have Socap over a month

I have not lost a strand
They do not tangle.
I use the products I am sopose to and the extention brush
i do not feel the extention bonds when i sleep
Nor are they noticeable

Majority of reaction was " i had no idea your hair was that long, what great hair!" "wow nice hair!" etc.  I have only told 3 people(Including my hubby) that i have extentions(it was his idea to get them).

I constantly get compliments from strangers - Friday I said to a guy who had his daughter with him "what she has beautiful hair" (and she did, she is 3yrs old, brown loose curly hair just perfect hair!) and he replied "like wise!" =)

Excellent info girls. I'm certified in the Cinderella system, but I have a couple of clients that seem to be having difficulty with them slipping. Not sure if Cinderella has changed something or not. These clients do very well with the Cinderella hair converted to i-tips and applied with shrinkies.
I will say that the quality of the Cinderella hair is excellent. In three years I've only had one bad batch, and it was the euro wavy which is like french refined.
Metalgirl: I feel your pain girl! I only have one client who I do silicone microrings on, and after her install my hand is bruised and sore for a week! I'm also not having much luck getting those rings to stay in and not slip no matter how tight the fit, or how hard I crimp them.

I'm going to check out SoCap too. It sound very interesting.

I agree, I had the same problem with the short2long. The deep curl hair was okay, but it still tangled a little on my client. And my had was sore also......Cry I am going to go to the SoCap training next month or the month after. First I am going to the New Concepts training this weekend. Does anyone know if Socap has different textures, such as yaki, curly or french refined ect? I heard about the SoCap training in Florida, it is $300, but here in Texas it is $500 plus the amount of the machine.

Shirilyn, I saw on the so.cap.usa website that the hair comes in straight, wavy, and curly. Does anyone know if Socap requires that you take their training class in order to buy their products?

Maggi,

As far as I know, you have to take their training to purchase their hair. You have to go through their certification class.

Barbielocs, Im confused, what is the difference between socap and socap original, do you mean Socap and Eurosocap? Or Socapusa vs Socap Italy? Ive never heard of a distinction between socap and socap original, if you could give more info that would be great Big%20smile

Currently I order through Socap USA what do you use?

i use the socap USA- and the i have used the original socap too. you know how they say look for the logo on the hair? well socap usa is different than socap original. socap original is not as high quality bonds nor hair, i think. it seems a few steps below. the socap original is just an s shape in the bond where as socap usa has the shape plus the little design. i hope this help. i don't know if they were partners who broke apart or what. or if they just improved the product and kept the old product for people that were hooked.. anyways you can only get socap from the usa company not the original. the original you have to get from europe(pretty sure on this)

Has anyone used hair or ordered this before: http://www.visionhairextensions.com/OrderKits.htm

I think they are a sister company of SoCap or something similiar, I am not sure. i will request a sample of the hair. The curly hair will come in December.

I was looking into taking the Cinderella course, but you don't have to be certified to order from them. They are slipping??????? Well, that sucks, can't win from loosing. Now what? What shampoo are your clients using? I saw the Euro hair on his website, I am truly scared of it, it looks like that curl from shor2long. It looked to neat. When I was pulling it apart it would get tangled.

Oh yeah, last thing, has anyone ordered hair from
www. sexyhairforyou.com? It is pricey, but you get a guarantee on the hair, which I like. The only thing I don't like about it is the keratin tips have the extra glue on it. What do you do for someone who has a small or big head and the tips still are not small or big enough?
Decisions, decisions......my head hurts.

www.sexyhairforyou is not that great the bonds are i tips with a dab of glue to melt on yourhair. you could do this your self with any itip.

if you take the cinderella course they guantee there hair if not they dont. so if you took it the slipping would be guanteed (i have never had anyslipping and use them a few times a week those babys last as long as you care for them esp with there products)

shiry-
in all the courses offered they yeach you how to fit the hair to the cients heads- it is worth the money to take them. you have to cut the bonds to fit the clients texture and so on. they come one size fits all so you need to adjust them

I have samples of sexyhairforyou hair. I wasn't that impressed, and I too thought that weird keratin drop on the i-tip would be hard to adjust and work with.

Cinderella does stand behind their product. I got a horrible batch of the euro wavy (curly). They credited my account for the full amount when I notified them of the problem. All in all, Cinderellas hair is the best quality I've used, with the most consistency. Their customer service is pretty good...I do occasionally have to wait on hold when ordering...their delivery time is super fast. My only other complaint about this company is that they occasionally run out of the color/texture I need, but they always try to accomodate me with the next best thing. Like giving me 20in. for the price of 16in. when they are out of stock.

Thanks Barbielocs!

Shirlyn, I dont think vision hair extensions is part of Socap, i think they call themselves Eurosocap. When I asked Socap USA if this was a part of the Socap family they told me it was not. I think this is why in the Socap USA website they state

"Look for the logo to ensure that you are recieving genuine SO.CAP.USA Hair Extensions. Beware of competitors who use SO.CAP. in their name. There is only one real SO.CAP.USA"

I think this is what Barbielocs was also referring to. So when you talk to to the customer service of Visions, just make sure to ask them if they are related in any way to Socap USA.

Okay, that is reassuring. Thanks for the info. When I went to the hairshow, I loved the cinderella bonds. They were virtually undetectable and soft. Adrian cut his tips in half, he doesn'tlike the tips if they are too wide. The show you how to seal the top and bottom of the extensions. I liked it. Can someone PM the price of the Cinderella hair, I forgot how much you get for so many pieces.
Thanks, Shiry
